NextiraOne Enhances Popular ServiceSelectSM Offering

HOUSTON - Jan. 18, 2005 - With the introduction of its customizable ServiceSelectSM network support service, NextiraOne, LLC, embarked on a plan that allows customers to choose exactly the kinds of managed data, converged and voice services they need. With ServiceSelect, customers are not required to buy the unwanted services typically included in the service bundles of many providers. For 2005, NextiraOne has enhanced ServiceSelect, making it even more flexible to serve the varied needs of a growing customer base.

"NextiraOne is committed to giving our customers the flexibility they need to improve the stability and lower the cost of their network management, and ServiceSelect is a perfect example of that commitment," said NextiraOne CEO Dale Booth. "The entire managed services package is designed so our customers can mix and match services to get exactly the kind of service plan they want. With ServiceSelect, we don't tell customers that they have to take a specific type of service package from us; we work with them to find the service package that best meets their needs."

ServiceSelect offers choice and flexibility in communications support and management. Whether the network environment is data, converged or traditional voice, ServiceSelect combines break/fix support with a comprehensive suite of network management services. At the time customers select a service package, they also can obtain certain extra services on a cafeteria-style menu of options. These options can be acquired at a significant discount to the stand-alone elements. Customers use the extra options to compile a total services package that suits the individual needs of their businesses.

The enhanced ServiceSelect features managed software updates as part of NextiraOne's Netvision monitoring. The service now extends to call managers and applications specific to a host of Nortel* offerings, including Symposium, CallPilot and Optivity Telephony Manager (OTM), and Cisco Systems offerings, including CallManager, Unity and IPCC. The managed software updates provide customers with a proactive approach to maintaining the stability of their systems while lowering their overall total cost of ownership and improving budget predictability.

NextiraOne has reinforced ServiceSelect with a reporting program that enables the customer to see the level of service being provided. The program displays information regarding how NextiraOne responds to alarms and reported tickets and how the company measures up against service level agreements. ServiceSelect remains an evolving service, and, as a user's demands change, ServiceSelect adjusts to meet the customer's needs.

"ServiceSelect has been one of our most successful offerings since its introduction in the middle of last year," said NextiraOne Vice President of Products and Services Roopal Badheka. "Now, we have added features and integrated it with our ConvergenceCare and Contact Center Care programs to provide our customers with a comprehensive solution that adjusts to their needs."
