NextiraOne Enhances Professional and Managed Services Offering

Complex business and technology challenges fuel client demand for expanded offerings

HOUSTON - May 24, 2005 - To continue its move to a more client-centric business model, NextiraOne announces the enhancement and expansion of its services offerings for enterprise clients into three categories - professional, managed and maintenance services. This move signifies a sharper focus on services that assist clients in planning for and implementing strategies around the more complex issues they face today such as securing networks, optimizing their contact centers and effectively migrating current infrastructures to converged technologies.

"More and more companies want help understanding how to evolve and maximize their communications technologies to make the most beneficial and advantageous decisions for their businesses," said NextiraOne CEO Dale Booth. "Having the internal resources, tools and knowledge to complete these types of analyses is a challenge for many enterprises."

NextiraOne's long history of implementing voice and data solutions, its expertise with IP telephony and its increasingly vendor-agnostic approach to technology brings a unique perspective to clients assessing the future of their communication network and systems.

"We have the experience to help bridge the gap between the differing worlds of data and voice for clients who are considering this step," added NextiraOne CEO Dale Booth. "We want to guide our clients on the road to convergence, whether they are embarking on that journey now or in the future, and we have the required expertise to make it happen successfully."

The first of the three categories of offerings is a professional services suite focused on business transformation, such as planning, design and architecture; migration planning; business optimization; strategic assessment and program management. The second is the managed services suite which offers solutions-oriented capabilities including dedicated call receipt, first level help desk, dedicated technical support, application monitoring, proactive trending and analysis, asset and SLA management and vendor and project management. Finally, the maintenance services suite will encompass more hardware-centric and reactive services like alarm monitoring and remote diagnostics, repair parts and logistics, technician dispatch and manufacturer problem escalation.

The announcement of the new information security practice made in early May was the first of several new professional service offerings that are designed to mitigate the security risks for companies considering the move to converged environments. These security solutions will be integrated across the entire professional, managed and maintenance services portfolio.

The company expects to announce the appointment of a new national vice president of professional and managed services to head this important business area by month's end. This move further emphasizes the importance of these offerings in both delivering the highest level of client service and in positioning the company for growth.
